About Boat Repairs Melbourne
Expert fibreglass boat repairs at JV Marine World, Braeside VIC.
Who Is Boat Repairs Melbourne?
Boat Repairs Melbourne is the fibreglass boat repair division of JV Marine World, located at 878 Springvale Road, Braeside VIC 3195 — just 20 minutes from Melbourne's CBD.
The workshop is led by Harry, a boat builder with 20 years of hands-on experience in fibreglass boat construction, structural repairs, and vessel refurbishment. Harry is skilled in hull and deck fabrication, composite lamination, transom and floor installation, gelcoat application, sanding, fairing, and finishing — and is known for producing high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong safety and quality standards in our marine workshop environment.
Under Harry's direction, our team specialises in fibreglass and composite marine construction, bringing structural and cosmetic expertise to every vessel that comes through our workshop. From routine antifouling to full transom rebuilds, we work across a wide range of recreational and commercial vessels including runabouts, cruisers, trailer boats, and rigid inflatables (RIBs).
What We Do
- Antifouling — professional application of quality antifouling coatings to protect your hull from marine growth
- Transom Repairs — structural rebuilds addressing rot, delamination, and water intrusion
- Custom Fibreglass Hardtops — fabricated and fitted to your vessel
- Stringer and Floor Repairs — restoring the structural integrity of your hull's internal framework

Where Is the Boat Repairs Melbourne Workshop?
JV Marine World has been a recognised part of Melbourne's marine industry precinct in Braeside for many years. Operating as Boat Repairs Melbourne, we bring that same commitment to quality workmanship and honest advice to every repair job — large or small.
Being based inside JV Marine World means we operate in a professional, fully-equipped marine workshop environment with the tools and infrastructure to handle structural fibreglass work properly — not a driveway or a makeshift yard.
We service vessels from across Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay corridor, including Braeside, Mordialloc, Cheltenham, Carrum, Chelsea, Seaford, Frankston, Mornington, and surrounds. Most customers trailer their boats to us directly.
What Sets Our Boat Repair Approach Apart?
Every boat that comes into our workshop gets the same treatment: a proper inspection before we quote, a clear explanation of what the repair involves, and workmanship that uses the right materials for the job.
We source professional-grade composite materials from established marine suppliers — the same products used by commercial boat builders. No cheap substitutes or hardware-store alternatives — because we know your boat is worth doing properly.
Our workshop carries the materials needed for most common repairs in stock, which means we can begin work without waiting on supply orders. For structural jobs, we monitor moisture levels throughout the drying process and will not laminate over damp substrate — proper preparation is what separates a lasting repair from one that fails within a season.
If you're not sure what your boat needs, call us. We're happy to assess your vessel and give you an honest opinion before you commit to any work.
